Sonoma County Area Agency on Aging

The Sonoma County Area Agency on Aging provides and coordinates services for seniors in the community. The AAA releases an annual update of the Sonoma County Senior Resource Guide, found here. If you would like to request a hard copy of the Guide, please call 707-565-5950.

Many AAA Services are provided by community based organizations. A list of the services and organizations that provide them can be found here.

The AAA Advisory Council, a 21-member volunteer committee, works with the AAA and makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on the needs of seniors, adults with disabilities, and their caregivers. More information on the Advisory Council and its committees can be found here.

The Sonoma County Area Agency on Aging is a program of the Sonoma County Human Services Department’s Adult & Aging Division and operates in accordance with the Older Americans Act. More information on the Older Americans Act can be found here.

The Art of Aging: Area Plan and Community Report

This Community Report reflects the findings from an extensive needs assessment. It provides a demographic snapshot of Sonoma County's seniors and presents the Area Agency on Aging's four-year plan.
